Here are some helpful links for court reporters and law professionals:
- Court reporters in New York State have been given a little help in collecting their hard-earned reporting fee's by the passing of legislation making the attorney responsible for payment.
- If you are an out-of-town attorney looking for overnight accomodations you can visit the Ulster County Chamber website for a complete listing. FYI, if you are an attorney without transportation the Holiday Inn is within walking distance, or a very quick cab ride, to our agency and also has a restaurant.
For the brave court reporters taking the ever-changing medical EBT's:
- Two great locations to search drug indexes. WebMD & the RXList.
- A great source of medical terminology. If you're not sure of the spelling (medical misspellings are common), type the first few letters, followed by an asterisk(*).
Just some interesting and fun sites I've found along the way:
- Who is plagiarising your website? Check out Copyscape!
- The Internet Archive is building a digital library of Internet sites, check out the Wayback Machine to view websites as they used to be.
- PDF Creator. This is a great site for converting any document into a PDF file if you don't have the ability to do so on your computer. Simply upload your document, enter your email and it is then sent to you in a PDF format. Easy! It can also be added as a gadget if you have google as your home page.
